According to Permasteelisa's website, they are also the ones who did the glass ceiling the Core shopping centre.

Either way, just like how the Bow pushed Calgary forward in terms of overall architectural design, looks like Brookfield might push us forward in terms of glass quality. Which is nice, since the glass on Calgary buildings always tends to disappoint somewhat.

Looks like we will be see the core step on the west end (as that elevator shaft is topped out), in the next form jump next week. Saw them dismantling an inner core section.

Is Cenovus going to have enough employees to fill this thing?

Some more pics of the glazing on Brookfield Place....this time on a gray, rainy day. Personally, I'm liking the look of the the glazing a gray day.

Ever since the full details of this project were revealed (including the elegant design, the public spaces, Calgary's own Rockefeller plaza and new tallest), I was thinking this was going to be the best tower in the city. As usual, how the glazing turned out relative to the render was going to be critical. Thankfully, it appears to be living up to my expectations.

I worked in the BOW for a year and know it well. It was so watered down I'm glad this seems to be going through as planned. Its going to be a jewel in the middle of downtown.

The glazing looks great in person. Excited for this, Manulife, and Telus Sky rising in the heart of the core.

Glazing is fantastic. Those gradient curves on the corners as it gets taller is such a key aesthetic feature and boy does it look good.

Lets knock down that parkade and get junior going!!

I think with the price of oil and all the other economic "stuff" going on.... I don't think tower #2 will be stated anytime soon! Like Wooster was kind of saying, I hope Cenovus can fill most of this tower!

Beauty! You can see the angle it widens by quite clearly now. I have a feeling that with that reflection of the Bow and soon to be Telus Sky this will become a signature shot of the city.

The only tower that I really like the glass on is EAP, and I didn't like it at first...

That glass is so awesome - and it's just going to get better & better.

Has the core risen recently? Don't want this thing capped at its current height (I'm only half joking).
