MB stadium video

http://www.ajc.com/videos/news/go-inside-mercedes-benz-stadium/vDY9Pf/

The video rendition of THE Mercedes Benz stadium experience, please note the tower in the left hand foreground at the 18 second mark of the video. Any guesses as to what it is?

The University House is open for business! The office is bustling and there are people on balconies. Meanwhile the Cranegate® at the Modera continues. There are banners promising a Winter 2016 completion at the site though.

Maybe it's me...but the view of Downtown from the stadium, at least by looking at the render, isn't exciting or intriguing.

imo the overall look and feel of the stadium and its connection visually to downtown will be outstanding. I can't wait to walk across the ped bridges. from there and throughout the east and north concourse, you should be able to see the midtown skyline as well.

Through the window? You're right, it's not all that. But it will be better one day when they build the MMPT and its towers sometime within the next century

Yeah, but I've yet to see a render depict Atlanta's skyline correctly. I'm sure it will look nicer in person.

It is great to see AS filled in, even with theoretical buildings -

That's interesting, but I'd rather see them in Tech Square like NCR.

Looks like Hanover Buckhead Village Permit has been issued so it could begin work anytime now.

Eviva Peachtree listings were updated recently 08/18, but not clear what changed in the listings. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/19313503/811-NE-Peachtree-St-Atlanta-GA/. The billboard is sill showing an old ad for an event that happened early in August so maybe it is a sign that they aren't signing any new ads to display. Only a couple more days left if they are going to break ground in August.

Seriously - this looks great. Now we just need renderings for buildings to fill in the holes on 17th...

EDIT: This was already done in the article - thanks for pointing out, GeorgiaPeanuts. I like the way that looks built out.

The site view shows buildings filling all holes.

Also this article says Post Centennial Park will break ground Q4 this year: http://saportareport.com/new-apartments-...atest-indicator-of-heated-rental-market/

dope streetcar btw. solid ridership (other side of streetcar - not pictured- had way more ppl in it), beautiful cars and great ride quality. didn't seem to be jamming up traffic when we rode the loop. hopefully it's expanded soon as per the plans!

Interesting, Modera Morningside filed permits to demolish and develop the property next door to current construction at 1835 Piedmont Rd. which seems currently occupied by a thrift store and a billboard.

They will be replacing it with:

Modera Morningside
Land Disturbance for new retail building, parking deck with 20 residential apartments above
Maybe the pre-leasing has been really successful. Now only that new Dunkin Donuts remains on that side of that stretch of road.

Interesting. It seems their neighbor, a block further south on Piedmont, got their zoning change conditionally approved for MR-3A vs MR-4A for 180 apartments in a 5 story complex. http://www.atlantaga.gov/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=19360 With all those conditions, not sure Perennial will still go through with the development, but at least this corridor is continuing to improve in density.

*fingers crossed* The view of the gulch and Phlips Arena isn't very impressive, at the moment.

Any updates from Tuesday's meeting? This intersection is going to gain some serious height, between this and Hampton Inn.
