Just modify your signature to say " over 490 ft. | 149m. "

This way, towers that are just below the line for 500 feet will shine in your signature once they are u/c.

But with developers, no idea why they always fall short. Its like the projects that are 20 ft shy from a 1000 ft.

Could it be that maybe the FAA is harsher on buildings once they reach a certain range?

100-499
500-999
1000+

Just a hypothetical, but I wonder if they do it based on categories and the risk to aviation/close proximity to flight paths.

Edit: Categories that differ from those height contour maps.

I'd imagine those flight maps that radiate outwards from an airport have something to do with it or it could just be an easy way to not deal with the hassle if they are in a region where 500 or greater might give them issues.
