I thought it was going to be bronze or at least terra cotta. This could still look good though.

Keep in mind that colors can shift depending on lighting conditions (as well as the relatively poor quality of web cams). That, and renderings are dirty filthy liars, so don't ever expect them to tell you what the colors will turn out like in real life.

I don't mind the more neutral tone of what I see...a more bronze/platinum finish could've been pretty cool though.

Maybe the gold is a lacquer of sorts? Though I think this dark grey will look slick.

Agreed, I think this will turn out better than bronze or lighter too. I'm interested to see how the transition to the more transparent sections with the vertical lines will turn out. Rendering makes it look like they kind of just fade into each other.

I'm curious to see the tiles in a different light like at sunset. If this is how they look when it's grey It's not bad. I thought there were supposed to be 3 different types of tile though. This seems like only 1. I also thought there was a component that was more sculpted like shark skin or something. Maybe that was just still conceptual though?

The darker colour will also help i separate from the Eddy and the Sally Ann. I drive by there daily and the tiles do have a bit of shine to them, not sure if I would call it metallic though.

Hmm seems to me we need to give the museum a folksy nickname to complete the triad. The obvious one, Natty, just sounds annoying though.

I still call the rec center Lindsay Park, so I'm not against that. Cantos also has that nice "I was a fan before you ever heard of them" vibe about it thats big with the youths.

I still think we will see all four types of glazed tiles that we saw earlier.

This is one of the more recent renderings and it looks like it could be more than one colour on the south side.

From the NMC twitter account:

"there are actually two tones, one is more grey and the second is a highlight gold tile. Those will be installed later."
