Yes I believe you are correct; I think there's a couple of others that are duplicates. Mods, should we start a new thread (part VII) in order to clean up some of the floating flotsam on page 1, that can be removed or combined? I would be very happy to volunteer..feel free to PM me to get the ball rolling.

I second this. I also think the earlier sentiment about what year the development list should start should be considered. We are certainly not in the era of the pre-recession boom, and it would be interesting to see a more modern perspective.

I'm pretty sure that 200 N. Michigan Avenue is topped out.

hmm, i thought it was supposed to be just as tall, or slightly taller, than c&c building? Maybe that was just to the roof though.

No, the CC building is close to 600 at its tip (i think its hard to realize how tall it is given its unique taper at top)

4 E Elm had a crane jump the other day (no photo), but it is now a considerable height taller.

Really? I could have sworn they had at least 4-5 floors to go, as of last Thurs...

The plan was always to be slightly shorter than C&C as a way to preserve the prominence of the C&C building.

I saw this in the news today

Quote:
Motorola Solutions is eyeing a big chunk of West Loop office space as it plots the transfer of several hundred employees to Chicago from the northwest suburbs.

The Schaumburg-based tech company has been in talks to lease space in the 44-story office tower at 500 W. Monroe St. near the Ogilvie Transportation Center, according to people familiar with its plans.

The exact amount of space has been a moving target as the rapidly changing company maps out its future after selling off many of its businesses. But Motorola is thought to be seeking about 150,000 square feet, according to sources.

Oh, you mean that families have built their lives around those homes. That reason. You myopic fool.
