So the Masquerade is completely gone this with new development? I thought it would stay. That makes me a little iffy now about these apartments. Even though, I never see any of the bands that play at the venue, it would be sad to see the establishment gone.

The apartments will be in the parking lot and where they host outdoor events now, with the actual "mill" being repurposed for some other use.

While The Masquerade is leaving, the Atlanta Dairies project (at least for now) has a dedicated building for a similar size venue.

I thought about that after the post. 20-25 given the scope leaning closer to 20.

Dancing Goats Expanding + City Winery Rendering

http://www.atlantaintownpaper.com/2015/07/dancing-goats-coffee-expanding-not-closing-at-pcm/

"Dancing Goats Coffee Bar at Ponce City Market is not closing, but expanding at Ponce City Market. Rumors began circulating of the popular spot’s closure after an erroneous report from a local blog said that City Winery would take over the space.

Owner/operator Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters said in a media release that Dancing Goats will be expanding its interior space to offer more inside seating. Construction will result in the coffeehouse being closed for three days the first week in August, likely the 2nd – 4th. However, Dancing Goats plans on serving coffee from a limited menu outside during the brief closure. The additional space was formerly part of the PCM leasing offices, which are now located inside the main building.

“We look forward to welcoming City Winery as our next door neighbor, but Dancing Goats will remain where it is and, in fact, be growing in size,” said Larry Challain, president and CEO of Batdorf & Bronson. “I can’t imagine how the neighborhood would react if we tried to close. It’s really their coffeehouse.”

Batdorf & Bronson also owns and operates the Dancing Goats Coffee Bar in Decatur and will open a third Dancing Goats in Midtown next year."

Construction Photo of Broadstone Terraces. They've dug pretty deep. I guess it will have partial underground parking.

Interesting...I've never really thought about it from that aspect. I'm a member here Palos Verdes(Los Angeles). I would love to have an Equinox in Atlanta, as of now, I'm stuck with LA Fitness when I am there.

Equinox is in a lot of top major cities around the country though...including Dallas/Houston and Atlanta is more of a gay center than those two cities. It's odd...who knows honestly.

That's not for Eviva. A film crew has been parking trucks there. I assume it's related to the filming at the Academy of Medicine.

It looks like there's a little more height than there was on the ones we saw a few days ago

What exactly is the rendering of...just the office portion? I don't see anything that appears to be a 19 story condo tower with what they presented.

So does this start the process over from the beginning? Will it now take 6+ months to go through zoning? Does the construction permit cover the Whole Foods phase or just the apartment tower? Sorry for all the questions.

Their land disturbance is almost approved, New construction is for the actual buildings themselves; A new construction permit has to be filed for each separate building in the development. I think the permits they file do not include the whole foods, because they filed the land disturbance before the Whole foods was presented to DRC.

I look forward to a greatly enhanced street level experience here. The existing site is so closed off and isolated. I'm excited to see the new re-design!

Didn't Eviva announce their development before this one? These are my two favorite proposals. What's the holdup on Eviva? Once these 2 both start construction I will be so happy!
