Oh boy...I hope Andaz uses up the last of their cheap ass silver panels. I also hope Tribeca used up the last of the yellow bricks.

Not to worry; they ran out 1/3 of the way up! They likely have stock piles of black brick though...

There is a marketing term that "the first one in gets the lion's share". Anyone know how icon is selling given it's the first of the super tall (Ottawa version) to actually start construction?

RobOttawa... If you rendered that -very cool!

With 3 years to go, that may actually put them on track.

They are doing full on excavating. Drove by there yesterday and the place is a buzz of noise and activity. This project is going to look great from Bronson coming down from Heron as well as from a number of other angles. Great rendering.

Now all we need is for that sad, tired looking Dows Lake Pavilion to get a retrofit!

The sign at POW/Q.E. & Preston still says "Mexicali Rosa's" - I shake my head at it every day when I drive past.

I wouldn't want to see a rebuild. The building needs a refit/reclad but I think it's become a sort of icon in this city.

Something like the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto (but with better food options) would be nice. Along with restaurants and cafes it would be nice to have outdoor and indoor public space that could be home to Summer festivals. Looking at the rendering of the future skyline at Dow's Lake, that pavillion needs to be more of an attraction.

Remember that iceberg shaped building someone proposed a while back on Sussex? I think that would look brilliant above the lake, and just fit right in during the winter.

That is very bold for Ottawa...and much needed.
