This is all very concerning. Atlanta will never be taken seriously on the world stage as long as we keep letting tourists have fun.
As others seem to understand, my point is that this type of thing is better suited for an amusement park.
Don't worry your pretty little head over the tourists wandering aimlessly through downtown. If this isn't approved, I'm sure the powers-that-be will come up with some other inappropriate proposal...like a Pirate Museum perhaps...oops, never mind.

Is this the first we've heard of 1270 spring? Given its location, I wonder if 15st will be extended even further now to Williams.

If that red outline of the lot is accurate then I'd say no. It doesn't front where 15th would be if it were extended.

The corner of 16th and Spring should be 1280 - the same as my building. I think 1270 is where they tore down the old funeral home, which is also just behind the parking lot where the new AMLI is going. It is listed as 1.55 acres and does not extend south enough to intersect 15th St.

455 14th St.

Just drove by 455 14th street project (Pollack Shores)...They are already under construction, but appear to be clearing pretty much the entire area (including the putting green).

Is that entire area included in the project? I couldn't find the site plan on the City of Atlanta website.

Unknown?
I'm not sure what is proposed at this (former Sanford Brown College) site in Sandy Springs (Peachtree-Dunwoody Road / Hammond Drive Intersection), but demolition is completed and it's ready for something.

I think that will be more apartments. In addition to everything happening around that MARTA station on Hammond, Ashford-Dunwoody is getting a midrise hotel with street-front retail. Perimeter is really urbanizing fast.

Speaking of urbanizing, I can't get over how different Midtown looks with the current projects. West Peachtree and 8th is already unrecognizable and the tower hasn't even started yet. There's already enough in progress to completely change the area, and the announcements just keep coming. I don't think Atlanta has ever had a transformation like this.

I look forward to learning more about the corporate headquarters of NCR. It's good to hear that a F500 company is moving into the city. I hope it's very appropriate and properly scaled for the area.

Did they ever get off the ground with that project near Lenox where Cityplace was going to be built?

I feel like compared to last year, we just haven't gotten as much new project announcements in the city proper. Really surprising to be honest considering I read a report saying permits would be up this year from 2014. Not sure if we'll see more renderings in the second half, but considering how high rents are growing, I'm surprised we're not seeing an apartment boom on the level of the Texas cities or Seattle.

He/she was referring to the AMLI City Place projects. The park between the projects is well underway with the tower already installing the deep foundations.
