article from a Boston blog that mentions Philadelphia, it says that Boston is ugly(which it is not). I think he really means it has a rather unimpressive skyline which I think is true.

That fence ad picture of fmc makes it appear like its 900 ft. I wonder what the terrain hieght difference is compared to center city.

Yes. I can't imagine the elevation is any higher next to the river than it is at 17th St. The FMC should appear about as tall as the Bell/Verizon building. It's either weird forced perspective or wishful thinking I guess.

Yeah according to mapmyrun (uses Google Maps I think) the ground elevation is almost 20 ft lower at FMC than Comcast.

What a beautiful addition this tower is going to be to the skyline as a whole. Especially angles from the west grouping all the scrapers in one frame.

Also, the rendering makes it appear that FMC and Comcast are on roughly the same street. At Walnut, FMC is actually about 4 blocks south of Comcast (JFK), so the perspective naturally distorts things (not to even mention the east-west distortion).

Edit: the north-south distortion would actually have the opposite effect, so this must be due to the east-west distortion and the 20ft elevation change.

Yeah...the InterContinental Hotel building that she highlights as ugly...would be considered world class compared to some of the Philly-Specials that PMC and others have thrown up here in recent years. At the very least, it will still be standing circa 2040.
