It wasn't my regular seat, but I did sit there a number of times and it was awesome
I will concede that the older buildings like Winnipeg Arena weren't always perfect, but more often than not it was the expanded parts (like the upper decks) that were substandard, not the original parts. Certainly the buildings from the mid 60s to late 80s are in great shape... a place like Rexall leaves little to be desired in my view, it's really just an issue of not having enough revenue generating facilities. This matters to ownership, but no so much to fans, particularly those who aren't there on expense accounts.
New arenas are a bit too flashy and mall-like for my tastes. The old places were 100% focused on the game.
