(I'm fascinated by images of various parts of LA beginning to form on open land, like the one above. Although I'm very aware of the underlying terrain, day-to-day life in LA with our derelict, 'recovering', urban-renewed and more stable areas, plus our
tens of thousands of now-vacant lots, it's easy to forget sometimes how new LA's built environment is.)
