The Clover on Yonge is a new 44 storey condominium tower by Cresford Developments coming to Yonge & Gloucester Toronto. Wonder if they're using aA again?

Some amazing Manhattan-esque architecture being proposed to Vancouver's West End.


German-born achitect Ole Scheeren has designed a striking tower that would stand around 50 stories
and include glass horizontal projections that will soak up panoramic views of the West End and Coal Harbour.

The only reason I really like it is because it is such a departure from the norm there.. but it is VERY awkward.

I like the base. I don't care for the upper sections as I find the cantilevered segments to be too tacked on. It looks like a boring conventional high-rise with a few jenga pieces sticking out to make it seem avant garde. If the design was cohesive across all four sides and for the full height it would work. Although a couple cantilevered sections don't need to be extended so far.

I think what really bothers me is that the balcony parts without extrusions are just too dated looking.

It could turn out well but I'm on the fence. The water feature looks cool, but not terribly realistic.

This. It could be very good, but it needs to get some balance in its composition from some angles.
