I think that Xcel put up that shell in the 1990's to hide an electrical substation. So kudos to Xcel for the best neo-traditional architectual project in LoDo outside of Coors Field.
Not sure what kind of adaptive reuse you could do on the structure since 2/3's of the structure wasn't designed to hold a roof or floors. Maybe an inner structure that is independent and have the existing walls akin to curtain walls?
Anyways, Xcel still owns it and Xcel doesn't seem like the kind of company to divest itself of unneeded property.
