Looking forward to them.,

BTW the cranes to the left are for "University District", so you'll get a good view of that one going up too.

Plaza looks great. Nice and clean. Not cluttered up

ATM it's nestled in a really inconvenient location. walled off on the 3 Civic side and there's not much of a reason for anyone to be there. once 3 Civic opens i'm guessing there will be a lot more foot traffic there.

Add in a few more buildings on the North/West side of the Plaza and you will have a lot of good walk-through traffic from the SkyTrain station.

This looks like something you'd find in a newer area of Shanghai.

I'm very impressed with Surrey, and the handling of its civic projects.

It's also an official municipal space, so it will rely heavily on programming - i.e. public events, rather than people lounging around.

Looks like a good spot for a small summer farmers market and / or night market.

Don't forget that they're planning on removing the ice rinks from the rec centre. When they punch 103 through to King George, there will be a lot more traffic and more easily accessible.

i wish they had went with the plan that called for an out door ice rink area for the plaza. Sure off season right now but it would have been awesome come winter time and brought people to the area

Really? Are they being replaced? I always see a ton of kids with hockey equipment around the area, they look to be well used.
