Not bad after one wash, if they can also take precautions to keep the grass from getting muddy after football/rugby games then I wouldn't mind the sharing agreement at all (though that rumour about them removing seats at one end zone is concerning, maybe it's just retractable seating, don't see them giving up paid seats). Super stoked about them allowing standing room only tickets...the atmosphere's going to be electric! Starting the season with 20,000 season seat holders and a full house is a proud accomplishment...I honestly see them outgrowing BMO Field within a decade.

K so i'm confused with the endzones tweet. Is the CFL seating configuration going to be off centered then? What i'm imagining in my head right now is one side of the field having full seating and the other side being completely open after the 20 yard line which would simply look retarded. They might as well stay in RC at that point. I really really hope this isn't the case what an embarrassment that would be for the CFL

Highly doubtful. The AHL wouldn't do well Calgary or Edmonton because the WHL is so well established in both of those markets and between the 2 on a business level its a clear choice. The WHL brings in potentially the same amount of revenue and requires far less operating budget due to the geography and salary differences in both leagues. San jose is also sharing the SAP center with the farm club. The problem with double occupancy is a lot of the modern arenas of today are just way to big for minor clubs. MTS Centre and SAP can get away with it because with a simple curtain they do a fairly good job at disguising themselves as a smaller arena with a low ceiling and only one row of suites. I don't think it would fair as well in Philly or Ottawa where the abundance of dead space would suck any atmosphere right out of the place.

The Leafs have what every team will be striving towards when it come to affiliate models. The Habs will have the same once Bell Place in Laval (30 minute drive from Montreal) is complete. However True North has the true fairy tail situation. 2 teams, 1 set of bills, Not just close to home but AT home in a perfect size arena that can pull off the needs of both franchises almost flawlessly. All they need is the fans to show up which I believe will happen. The Moose could also provide the added bonus of keeping the MTS centre viable for when the Jets grow out of it and need a new building a few decades down the road

Rogers is booting them out of the SkyDome at the end of 2017; there is no option. Further, the Argos can't get a decent schedule there, or so it seems for the last 3-5 years. Tuesday games and weeks and weeks at a time without a home date generally don't help you.

It's really not that simple. With the entire league playing in the eastern United States, there are many problems for western teams, as was evidenced by the Abbotsford Heat. Now that they're finally adding a Pacific Division next year, which will have 5 teams all in California, western teams will become more viable. I expect the Canucks will start thinking more seriously about relocation, maybe to Abbotsford for a farm team that would actually be supported.

Going by the Toronto Sun video posted above, it sounds like the Argos will still play second fiddle at BMO as well. As stated TFC is the #1 tenant and gets first dibs on dates and their schedule gets locked in first... and the Argos will never play on the same weekend as a TFC game. So while the situation will probably be better at BMO, they'll still have to adjust their schedule around another teams schedule.

When they only play a game a week (in some cases 2), it doesn't matter if TFC has right of first refusal on dates. In the worst case imaginable the Argos might have to go on the road for 3 weeks, which is not unheard of even for teams that don't share stadiums.

The situation with the Blue Jays was untenable when they would play like 11 home games in a row within 12 or 13 days and use that as an excuse to shaft the Argos with lousy dates (somehow the Argos managed to have a decent schedule until Rogers took over the Skydome).

Those are only for the cheap seats, at least they aren't bench seats.The better seats have foldable chairs with arm rests. Id say about 60% of the stadium is foldable chairs with arm rests, 40% modular one piece.

Yeah, these look like a step up from bench seats for sure. The problem with benches is that small people tend to get squashed as larger people take up more room. It's just that this particular style of molded one-piece plastic seat seems indigenous to soccer stadiums... but then again, I guess sports have their various preferred styles of seating. Baseball is known for preferring this modern plastic version of the age-old green slatted wood seat:
