I never understand why the city plants so many species of trees that take so long to bud, seriously, there are countless other species that are fully green / nearly fully green by this time of the year.

You think they would take better advantage of having the most hospital climate in the nation for flora.

I know!! There are some along Hamilton. Takes forever to bud then they are the first to loose the leaves on top of that. Wtf? Lol

Those ones look semi-tropical, with the small multi-stemmed leaves.

The one on the corner of 888 Hamilton in the planter come out early, by comparison, and grow fast. There are some of those in David Lam Park that are huge now.

Not a huge fan of this building but the ground level looks pretty great driving eastbound on Georgia.

How can you tell? The ground level is a mess (and not a hot one) as they vainly try to finish it off, and most of it is still obscured by fabric fencing.

In true Vancouver fashion that residential tower is looking insanely sterile with the lack of colour.

I think the design is pleasing, but lord, is that colour ever awful.

Shame they aren't building what the renders promised.

Interesting as a construction site perhaps, but in no way even close to finishing the pedestrian realm. It's a joke how behind they are on that.

And good thing you can't see the green roof on the outbuilding that sticks out over Seymour. That's been a construction site dumping ground for far too long.
