Instead of having towers all over the place, this isn't a bad concept for density.
I don't know if it would happen in Van, but perhaps further out in the metro - Coquitlam near the Skytrain, in Surrey along King George across from Surrey Central or along Fraser Hwy (esp if they extend Expo Line). Those are some areas that I see having the space to do that - how many large neighbouring lots would it take?
Chinese mass-production skyscraper aiming to be world's tallest. Not sure I like the boxy style, but at least it makes for practical layouts. The built a 57-floor example in just 19 days.
One First National Center in Omaha, NE is something that I would love to see being built in Vancouver. This 193 meter office tower has 45 floors and was completed in 2002. It would look fantastic as part of our skyline.
Agreed. It may be too corporate looking for Vancouver, but then, aren't we trying to get away from glass condos, and develop a more "business" image? Anyway, it could be "tweaked."
That's exactly why it would fit well in here! We need more mixture to our image.
I like how clean and high-quality this building looks. Modern yet not another glass tower. Also the second tallest building in Seattle is similar to this, but it is more bulky in shape.
I was just in Melbourne back in June and I'd have to say the Skyline is quite outstanding from a funky tower and height perspective. I enjoyed the Skyline there more than in Sydney though Sydney isn't bad. Even Brisbane which is more-or-less the size of Metro-Vancouver has some funky tall buildings.

That's pretty neat. I'd love to actually play some sort of urban warfare video game in a building like that. A Rainbow Six game of the past for example. Just a neat looking building.
