But McDavid doesn't strike me as the type of person who would do this, and I certainly hope he does not, but after seeing the look on his face Saturday when the lottery was held the thought crossed my mind.

Lindros pulled this stunt all throughout the minors too. He flat out told QC not to draft him, and they did. McDavid on the other hand went to play for Erie even though they were at the bottom of the barrel. He said he never wanted to be 'that guy'. It won't happen.

It's impressive how fast the whole arena's structure starting to take shape. Gives one a pretty good idea how big it'll look in the end.

I just noticed something - the solid part of the railing in front lined up with the LRT cars makes the LRT look like it's a monorail!

Arena Community Rink programming meeting last night. 3 central CLs + Boyle Services along with 3 COE folk. We discussed options for community rink programming opportunities, partnerships and what all of this might look like given that this arena will be very unique for the COE when it comes to availability and programming. Ideas we suggested were obvious things like free community skating programs, learn to skate, provision of rentals/helmets for certain nights, drop in shinny, early morning business mixer shinny, CL cup hockey tournament, central Edmonton school use etc. The COE is still very early days with this and is very much open to suggestion.,

If you have any ideas, please post them so we can review at the next meeting.

I think the red pieces on the west of the pedway will just be extensions of the current red one.

LEGENDARY HOLLYWOOD PRODUCER JOEL SILVER AND CANADIAN ENTREPRENEUR DARYL KATZ PARTNER TO CREATE SILVER PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT
Apr 27, 2015

Silver renews relationship with longtime collaborator Warner Bros.

Media executive Hal Sadoff joins the company as Chief Executive Officer

Los Angeles, April 27, 2015 – – Joel Silver, one of the most successful producers in motion picture history, has partnered with Canadian entrepreneur Daryl Katz, to create Silver Pictures Entertainment, a new company that will develop, produce and provide or arrange financing for its own slate of feature films, television and digital projects, both independent of and within the traditional studio system.

Silver Pictures Entertainment, marries Silver’s 38 years of experience producing major motion pictures with Katz’s business acumen, creating a groundbreaking venture that will be on the forefront of the changing dynamic within the global media industry.

Silver Pictures Entertainment will also continue its quarter century relationship with Warner Bros., with active projects including a sequel to its $103 million worldwide box office hit PROJECT X, and a third installment of the Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law franchise SHERLOCK HOLMES, which has earned more than $1 billion worldwide. Additional titles under the arrangement include: LOGAN’S RUN, BEN 10 and Ross Macdonald’s THE GALTON CASE.

Silver has produced more than 70 films over his career, including some of the most iconic and successful films and franchises of all time — including the SHERLOCK HOLMES franchise, THE MATRIX trilogy, four-part LETHAL WEAPON series and several DIE HARD and PREDATOR films — which cumulatively have earned over $14 billion in global revenue. Silver Pictures’ most recent hit at the box office was the Liam Neeson-Julianne Moore action-thriller NON-STOP, which has earned more than $222 million at the worldwide box office.

Is this the long rumored media headquarters we have been trying to figure out?
