Funny, these were industrial and farming zones for a reason. The floods of 1894 and 1948 brought flooding to some parts of Queensborough and likely where these developments are.

Agreed.
I think this neighbourhood may have more going for it than many realize.
Riverfront, nearby woodlands, and although there is no real transit yet, this can be remedied for the moment with more buses.
I seem to think many are giving The Fraserlands a big thumbs down before it has had a chance to prove itself.
My only reservation about this project is that it could herald the beginning of the end
for the traditional market gardens along the Fraser, that supply supermarkets with fresh herbs and produce.
