I was a little disappointed to see the updated rendering for SkyCity come back with very muted neutral colours. Didn't the first rendering have bright orange accents?

I have to say that I like the White (if that is what colour it is). Does Winnipeg have a white building?

Royal Bank building near P&M.

Off white now, but that may be due to it's age.

It looks like the latest round of renders answer what these guys plan to do with the Regis: surface parking. Hooray for Centre Venture's racist planning.

I don't think the colours have changes much. Pretty sure the red shown in the original renderings is just lighting effects. They said it will have LED lighting at the top too, so maybe that's what they were trying to show.

Im not exactly sure what you see, but I haven't seen any indication of what you speak of.

Yeah the lot beside the Regis right now is separate from the rest of them that are owned by SkyCity, so that surface lot in the renders is true, but it isn't new.

What is actually kind of sweet about the render (if this goes through) is that the Skywalk connection over Graham would literally go directly into the existing one in the former Canada Post tower, so it wouldn't be a lot of work to make a good connection.

I don't know if the city would go for the connection as they may be on the hook for 2/3 of the cost if the old formula for the sky walk system was applied. It was each owner paid 1/3 and the city picked up the other 1/3. Because the city owns the 266 Graham tower they would have to pay most of the cost to connect.

Also the special funding that they had held in the bank for years to connect buildings was used up when the section from City Place to the convention center via Royal Trust and the Delta was completed.

Interesting... SkyCity may really need/want that for all the tenants they have lined up..

We should know more about tenants, if secured, once the sales centre opens.
If they hope to attract the required number of unit purchasers to move this proposal in a forward direction they're going to have to be able to tell prospective buyers what services will be available on site, sooner rather than later.

I've heard that the whole idea of outside companies taking entire floors as investment properties has turned out to be a pipe dream.
