Calgary really punches above its weight in castle-themed subdivisions.

I believe I was in my final year of high school or possibly first year university when they built the Kincorra tower. It struck me as ridiculous even then.

Ah but perhaps they had heir eyes on the future as now in addition to defending it's residents from rampaging orcs it also houses a cellphone tower.

Man! Looking at those buildings on the previous page and it's like Po-Mo's back on top.

I used to work here. Fugly on the outside...not bad at all on the inside. Great business school.

It's one of those buildings some really like and some really dislike. I don't like it IMO but it looks worse in that pic than in person.

That's actually cool IMO. Looks like it belongs in Terminator or something.

It's not just here. I was in Vegas in November and once you went off the strip it becomes the most depressing, drabbest place you've ever seen. Talk about cookie cutter shitbox houses and storage units! The monotony of which is only broken by empty dirt fields in the middle of the city. Canadian cities have nothing on that ridiculous sprawl. What's worse is walking off the strip past the Stratosphere. I've only been that afraid a handful of times in my life and the others were in Naples Italy and Palermo Sicily, cradle of the mafia.

Cousin, that's a pretty building to me. It seems both modern and almost old enough to be historic already. I do like it. I swear I do. I sense some sort of quality.

Besides, why on Earth would you be scared? mm? Do you want to fucking die, HEC? Cause you'll die if you're not strong enough.

The first of 4 Rogers Arena towers in Vancouver is nearing completion. Absolutely stunning.

Um, I think you're in the wrong thread....

If you were to post something ugly from Vancouver it could be the following:

Sorry I just couldn't resist.

This hideous tower and its twin (out of frame) above Northhill mall which is already a contender for this thread on its own.

I wonder if all the old people who populate the sears and the mall foodcourt live in these things? They were built around 2008 believe it or not.
