Calgary really punches above its weight in castle-themed subdivisions.
I believe I was in my final year of high school or possibly first year university when they built the Kincorra tower. It struck me as ridiculous even then.
I used to work here. Fugly on the outside...not bad at all on the inside. Great business school.

This thread is killing me. So much uglyness all over Canada. Jesus.
It's not just here. I was in Vegas in November and once you went off the strip it becomes the most depressing, drabbest place you've ever seen. Talk about cookie cutter shitbox houses and storage units! The monotony of which is only broken by empty dirt fields in the middle of the city. Canadian cities have nothing on that ridiculous sprawl. What's worse is walking off the strip past the Stratosphere. I've only been that afraid a handful of times in my life and the others were in Naples Italy and Palermo Sicily, cradle of the mafia.
Cousin, that's a pretty building to me. It seems both modern and almost old enough to be historic already. I do like it. I swear I do. I sense some sort of quality.
Besides, why on Earth would you be scared? mm? Do you want to fucking die, HEC? Cause you'll die if you're not strong enough.

Hmm you learn something new every day. I knew about revival architecture but hadn't heard of follies before. Somehow the newer versions in suburban neighbourhoods seem tackier than what they did in the 1800's though. Certainly their craftsmanship has gone into the toilet.
