You should come look at the 'grass' in my backyard then. Green 24/7!

Not just appears, it has. It's actually created a bad situation where impatient pedestrians now jaywalk across 101 St. or walk in the lane to get past it.

although having "moving lanes" is pretty common throughout the city and not just here.

because we should just be able to see those lines through the snow or know where they're supposed to be even after they've worn away entirely i guess.

Well...thing is. There not worn away to such a degree that you cant make them out.....not for me anyway! Its just not paying attention, so pretty much bad driving!

As for not seeing the lines through the snow. If you are having a hard time possibly a new prescription for spectacles could be required Or contact the city at 311 and kindly ask them to redo the lines for ya

The age of the house is spot on too.

EDIT: Do you mind if I blow it up and frame it? Great shot again.

^ Thanks a lot! The juxtaposition really struck me, too, which I outlined slightly poetically in the description on the Flickr page:

Quote:
A nice place to raise children. Neighbours barbecuing in the backyards. Kids riding bikes carefree in the streets. The refineries hum loudly across the river (but you stop noticing after a little while), producing the fuel and the jobs that make this lifestyle possible.
I'm pleased you want a print of it, and ask that you purchase one through my Crated gallery, so that I may see a little bit of reward for it. /shameless

Of course. An artist needs recognition and compensation for their work. Thanks for the link!
