Funny though, none of my 69 posts on this forum were about the Plateau + I have never lived there. Only 5 out of the hundreds of pictures I posted were showcasing le Plateau...

Aerial view of Halifax, looking southeast. The downtown area is somewhat compressed but you can see a lot of detail in the North End on the left.

That's funny because looking at the second pic in his post I could very well see someone making the opposite remark...

Oh, unless of course you're talking about the Molson stadium, not the Olympic one (which is the one we call just "the Stadium").

Yeah, I had guessed as much when I edited my post to add the second line.

You can see both in this shot -- in that view the Olympic Stadium seems a bit remote to serve as a downtown venue, but the Molson's location, nestled at the foot of the mountain, is indeed as appealing as in other shots.
