Some additional work seems to be happening on the Seymour side. I was always intrigued by the tight little space there where some balconies on the neighbouring building to the north are walled right in by 999. They would have tunnel-like views out to the street.

Thanks for the pics.
Strange how the commercial has one flip out window on one side only.
Presumably they're air conditioned, but if you have the operable windows, why just one?

I like the wooden seating that has been installed along Seymour Street. I look forward to heirs pears and Uncle Fatih's Pizza opening.

Thanks for the pics.

I was surprised at how big both of the restaurants are going to be.

So I guess there's just the retail space on Seymour next to The Spot.

It will be a dentist's office.

Thanks, Klazu. This project didn't turn out half bad. I like it.

Very nice! You should straighten that photo for a perfect view of this building (in Photoshop Filters > Lens Correction > Custom > Vertical Perspective).

This view down Nelson / or is it Seymour (? §§§... I've been away so long, I may go wrong and lose may way.....§§§)

...is cool. Why?
IMO it is a street of contrasts, a bold and rather daring stretch of street. 999 Seymour itself is rather pleasant, upbeat, crisp, and neither too stubby nor too tall for the street.
Next down is the light grey circular building, and behind that, the tops of brick buildings. Enormous contrast; a very bold streetscape

We just need to get that empty space-parking next door lot to be bult out. What style, though?

Perhaps something modern enough, yet that calls to the sure-to-be redeveloped buildings across on Granville, with character and charm.

(Cape Dutch is a favourite of mine. Maybe some doorways or cornices? )

Here's one more with that view that I think you're talking about.

That's a nice patio. I wish we would have more restaurant patios like that.

It's a private patio on the roof of the podium of Level Furnished Living (directly across from the Penthouse Night Club). I'm staying there while my flooded out apartment is fixed.

No chance of a restaurant/cafe patio this high up UNLESS a huge commercial podium is built, like perhaps a multi-level shopping mall?
