Yeah, I see the cops at the garage entrances too. I sometimes wonder whether they are rent-a-cops hired by the buildings, but I was referring to the fact that cops no longer direct traffic at major traffic intersections where they could be quite useful. They rely almost completely on traffic signals to keep traffic flowing, but there are bottlenecks around town (and especially downtown with all the construction and street re-routes) that could benefit from some old fashioned traffic police directing traffic.
