Oh — I didn't even notice the newer Palliser tower or the first street condos in there! I thought it looked at least 30 years old.

I just love 1944. Our economy was insanely good then so it was a war thing, not a poverty thing, but it makes me laugh as though it was a poverty thing. And 1945 is equally hilarious. Hand-painted by the looks of it.

Is that not Pan Canadian Plaza, built in 1982, to the right of the Calgary Tower.
There are no Petro Can towers, built in 1984, in the photo. So enjoy Brisbane, I'm jealous, but lay off the sauce, please. 😉 Oh don't, instead, invite me to imbibe as well.

That photo has Colours, Union Square 1, Palliser South, Bow Valley Square expansion, and you can just make out the curved roof of Le Germaine. It's taken looking Southwest so The big downtown towers are out of frame.

If you click on the link it also says it's taken with a Canon 7D…

It is a deceiving angle though - I probably wouldn't have noticed until Doug pointed it out.

No kidding. They basically changed it every year or two save for a few exceptions. I think they're due for a change. Hopefully for a retro look because I much prefer the older ones.

Wow, these old eyes are killing me. Time for a drink, and apologies Doug.

Based on the cars at least the mid-50's.
