Okay it looks glorious. But who, what, where, when? 400 acres under the roof is perfect size for the railyard redevelopment!

Too bad getting stuff like that built isn't as easy as putting up a grandiose website! At least one can dream(scape)... thanks, Biff!

Yeah, not one bit of actual info on the website. Where? Built by who? Designed by who? Financed by who? Budget? Tenants?

I cant wait to visit though.

Kickstarter... the preferred source of capital for developers everywhere! This must be a high school project.

I could be completely wrong here but bits and pieces of Dreamscape sure sound similar to the plans that have been floated before by the Red River Ex group as future plans for the site. It would also be possible to assemble a parcel of land at their current site big enough for this proposal.

The contact number for Dreamscape is the same phone number listed for Jaks Contracting Services on Enniskillen Avenue.

Managed to scrape $61 towards their goal of $30k (the first of many towards the multi-trillion dollar cost this thing would be to build).

Harlequin

I heard that there is a proposal for a four unit condominium addition to the Harlequin Building on Hargrave. Does anyone have additional information regarding this project?

Really? That building looks so ramshackle it's hard to believe it can be redeveloped... or is there a brick structure underneath what appears to be some sort of plywood-covered facade?

From the website..

Two 4 and 5 star hotels;
Comprehensive Convention Centre;
Two signature golf courses;
A regulation size ice-rink;
World-class Symphony/Concert Hall, Amphitheatre;
Offices, retails, brand-name outlets and boutique stores;
Cinemas and drive-in, fine dining restaurants and food-courts;
Wet and dry theme parks, walkways, Grotto and gardens;
Condominium complex with green spaces to enjoy year-round;
An all-inclusive winter park for outdoor fun and recreation.
You forgot all located in a secret, strategic location of 400 acres

I like that part about the golf course that can be used 12 months of the year because it has a roof. Or the drive-in theatre and 20,000 seat amphitheatre with a retractable roof.

Those investors are surely rolling in as we speak.

Should start shortly. They are adding about 6,000 sq ft in a one storey addition. Designed by 546..... Architects.

You don't think that's a serious proposal, right?

But he has a $61.00 budget. That will get you a 400 acre enclosed LEED Certified entertainment destination centre.....right?

Sounds pretty interesting... now to see some action on the African Cultural Centre site across the street. It would also be great to see the apartment building next door to Harlequin's get an overhaul... easily one of the prettiest buildings in town, but not looking all that great these days.

I'll chip in an extra $50 and make it LEED platinum.
