Interesting tidbit!

And yes, the Daniels tower was supposed to be 65 floors, but the city didn't feel it worked with Waterfront Plan and the project was split about the two towers.

Always hope for the LCBO lot to hit 65-70 floors though.

Big fan of the Enigma development - particularly that it proposes office space to replace some of the employment lands it is being built on. Still not entirely clear how it fits onto the site though.

Kingston Road is going to be one of the next big things along with the Queensway. Would be great to extend streetcar service past Vic Park, and you know, actually run streetcars (does the 502/503 even exist?).

Midrise development on Kingston Road is almost entirely south of the Danforth Interchange. The one above is at Blantyre replacing a derelict century old hotel. The street has a very different look from The Queensway. 503 is great too.

^Oh yeah it's much narrower and pleasant than the Queensway. And a little older, but on the whole not by much. Just meant in terms of mid rise intensification. I could see the development moving up into Cliffside in the future though. Does the 503 run regular service outside of rush hour? I have never actually been on it, only the 22 Coxwell bus since that's what always came first.

503 is a rush hour tripper. 502 is weekdays from about 6 to 6. It's a long trip. Not sure extending the line would offer anything. I'm biased though as I'd lose my choice seat being at the end of the line. Probably would take the GO instead.

I don't see Cliffside happening. Lot of money South of Kingston Road. The north side is still affordable. The street is a high way too.

Architecturally, Toronto leaves the rest of Canada in the dust. And I appreciate the constant effort its builders make to transcend the use of the dreaded balconies.

This area needs more restaurants, it's getting hard to get a good seat in reasonable time down there on Friday and Saturday nights, no need for any more apparel retailers on the street, they should stick in the malls.

That development in Etobicoke pretty much looks like a scaled down version of a development that was planned for downtown London. The one in London is being adjusted right now due to the developer buying a different piece of land. It was designed by E.I. Richmond Architects and assuming the one in Etobicoke has been designed by the same company.
