The project is now complete, so it is time to compare before and after. I took 600 photos of the project, but I didn't happen to take too many of the original glazing. Yet here are four comparisons that I put together.
Back in July I had the opportunity to take my camera up on the roof of the One Wall Centre hotel tower (the building next to Burrard Street). Here are some warm summer day views of the complex and surrounding Downtown.
The top floor houses also the headquarters of Wall Financial Corp.
Hotel coctail/party room on the 35th floor.

Nice view of West End opens up.
The two churches at Nelson and Burrard.
Burrard Street urban canyon looks sweet.

View towards east over the third tower. Metrotown in the distance.
North Tower's characteristic notch.
Where old and new glass meet. The difference is not that obvious from this angle. Can you tell where they change?
Top of the North Tower. More photos from up there to follow later on.
Unfortunately, the flaws of the One Wall Centre re-clad are much more apparent in reality than in your beautiful photographs. It is a shame that they could not (or were not allowed, once again, to) finally get it right, as Vancouver's best skyscraper deserved.
Great set of shots Klazu. I meant to ask awhile back but has it improved significantly with the new glass in terms of comfort within your condo?
It has been a year now, so it is hard to remember how it was before, but this summer we had to use A/C only few times vs. every day and it is more quiet. These cold windy autumn days do still decrease the temperature inside, but there is no stopping that with so much glass surface in suites.
So yes, it is better in my opinion, although our north-facing suite wasn't the worst with the old windows either.
