I like your non skyline pics Chad. It's nice to see more then just the typical downtown core shots. The last month has been very Western centric. I can only assume it's due to the weather.

The average height in Calgary must be way beyond here. They all look like giants compared to the cars.

haha so are you saying you don't like my skyline shots?

It might by interesting to note that not one of the pics in that set were taken in downtown, and only I think four of them have a part of downtown in them. All of them are in Beltline, Mission, and Mount Royal. Though I guess Beltline is being considered more and more as part of downtown, as it should be.

It was nice to see some of the older residential architecture. A bigger difference from Vancouver than I would have expected.

Yeah, for my next set I'll try to do a tour through some of our more common historic residential areas. It's a very big difference from Vancouver for sure.

Walking thourgh the western part of Old Montreal...

Started at Place-d'Armes station.
Typical view

Details on rue Saint-Jacques

Maisonneuve turning his back to the bank, yet facing the church...

Rue Notre-Dame's mish-mash

Notre-Dame and 500 Place-d'Armes

Rue Saint-Sulpice

Rue Le Royer

Rue Saint-Paul, looking south-west

Rue de la Commune, facing the Old Port

Pointe à Callières

On Place D'Youville

Montreal's precise place of birth, where Maisonneuve landed (it used to be a small river, which is nowadays underground)

On Place D'Youville again

Rue Saint-Pierre, looking south

Montreal's first hospital, on rue Normand

McGill Street, looking "north"

Monumentalité

McGill Street, looking "south"

Ghost sign and curtain walls

Rue Saint-Jacques (Saint James St.), formerly known as the Wall Street of Canada

Edit : all pics belong to me.

I saw this on reddit, and it's too good not to share. The Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars all in one shot with a fantastic Toronto skyline and streetscape.

Totally assumed that was Vancouver, even though I should've known better. Great shot!

Thanks for the amazing Vancouver pics!!! ^

And... belated thanks for the comments on my old Montreal set
Here's another of my neighbourhood walks in Montreal!
This time : Saint-Henri

Place-Saint-Henri station:

La place Saint-Henri, the heart of the neighbourhood:

«Bohneur d'occasion» houses, remains of the former village from the XIXth century

Saint-Irénée church:

Reconverted plants around the Lachine canal. Here, château Saint-Ambroise, and DentsuBos marketing agency:

Atwater Market:

The amazing view from Atwater Market's parking lot...

Tiny Saint-Henri:
