I just called the Parkway Corp. number posted by "loves development," and was told that the parking lot closure is "permanent." She didn't know if it was closed so that construction could begin, but she was unequivocal about the closure being "permanent." Let's hope so.

I also sent an email inquiry to confirm, and I'll report back if I get a response.

"...uh, hi. This is um, Brooke Lenfest. I was just wondering, did I close your parking lot at 15th and Chestnut to build a hotel there? I can't remember."

There is New Signage at 15th and Chestnut

There is a sign that details the completion of the hotel October 2017 and the GC is Tutor Perini.

You need to upload it to a photo hosting site, and then click on the image icon above the post window when you're preparing a post here (it looks like a drawing of a mountain with the sun) and paste the URL for the photo in the window that pops up. If you don't already have an account on a photo hosting site, I believe you can upload to imgur.com without even setting up an account.

It seems Philadelphia has been HOT since 2013. Let's hope this momentum continues!
