I'm just glad that the garage is incorporated into the main structure rather than being off to the side like the Skyhouses among others. That being said, I don't mind the 1163 Peachtree garage as much because it isn't just a gray box.

Like I said: ugly garage, but you can't complain about the density. I'll bet it's got far more hotel rooms per acre than most of the big boys downtown.

So does that mean they will be demolishing the Einstein's?

Yes, it's replacing that entire corner.

Nice, I can't remember a time when there has been this much development that has either been announced or that is about to start in Atlanta!

It wasn't too long ago this site went months without any real news. Not anymore. These Hanover developments in Buckhead have been reported previously. They are still moving forward:

The Hanover Company is moving forward with the development of two major new apartment projects in Buckhead—less than a mile apart from each other—that will add almost 730 new luxury apartments to the market by next year.

Yeah that's what I noticed as well. I don't think the project is dead, they're just revamping their website. Besides, the company developing this building is the Integral Group. The same company over the GM site redevelopment. So I think it has a good chance of getting off the ground.

Honestly, the Eviva design took a while to grow on me; but I still think that the building doesn't fit the site. I would love to see that building go on the Dewberry lot at 10th & Peachtree across from the bed, or even at the lot at 1125 Peachtree at 12th & Midtown. Wishful thinking.

In other news: the section of Andrew Young that cuts through Centennial Olympic Park is being permanently closed on Feb 9, so I would expect some park updates coming shortly thereafter.

they're redesigning the website, that's why the documents aren't there anymore.

Doraville redevelopment will be of the caliber of Avalon, Ponce City Market and Buckhead Atlanta.

Quote:
Integral Group CEO Egbert Perry, among our panelists, tells us that businesses in Atlanta now are seeking out those work environments that offer “placemaking" and a mix of uses. That's showing up in demand for big mixed-use projects. Now his group is swinging its bats at such a project: The massive redevelopment of the former Doraville General Motors assembly plant. “The site has an opportunity to create another unique and exciting...destination in the region,” Egbert says.

Like other mixed-use projects of this caliber–think Buckhead Atlanta, Ponce City Market and Avalon–a variety of commercial uses will be integrated into the 165-acre project, from office and retail to residential and mass transit. But Egbert says the initial focus will be on the integration of streets and green spaces within the campus development. “We want to make sure we have the right ingredients for placemaking by investing in the public realm,” he says. And given the time Integral has to build out this redevelopment, Egbert says those are solid initial investments that will attract tenants in the long run.

i hadn't. see post 12614.

honestly though, i thought i remembered seeing this project on integral's page as well, along with two other eviva projects. (denver, sacramento) looks like their page is also under reconstruction.
