Pittsburgh via my Cannondale

If I have any free time in my boring life I pretty much am spending it on my bike cycling the city or doing long loops around the metro. The man was nice and gave us a few days off at the end of the year, and I figured to take a camera with me today and make a thread for once.

Starting a few blocks in my neighborhood of Greenfield

Oakland From Greenfield

Down the Hill, across the bridge, through a park, and on Forbes to Oakland

Oakland to Polish Hill

New PNC Headquarters filling in a nice gap of the skyline across the 31st Street Bridge.

Up Railto Street to bike off the Holiday glut. The 5th Steepest Street in Pittsburgh, and part of the Dirty Dozen.

Views from Troy Hill

The top of Federal Street.

Photos from before today taken on different bike rides since summer 2013.

Photos from a couple weeks ago.

New Extended stay at the edge of Bloomfield/Shadyside/Friendship area

New PNC Tower at downtown level

The Gardens Highrise rising above Market Square.

Enjoyed the tour along Pittsburgh! Thanks for sharing.

You´ve a very nice city and a great Cannondale to explore that pretty city. I´m sure you will post more pictures of Pittsburgh soon. I liked a lot the views of Pittsburgh´s skyline from any of its hills.

This´s the first time I see Andy Warhol´s tomb. I didn´t know he was buried in Pittsburgh.

Happy New Year and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

My calves hurt just viewing these pics. Great work though.
Where is the lock bridge?

Nice pics. I suspect you're more of a hill-climber than I'll ever be--I always find the flattest route everywhere. Anyway, Pittsburgh is looking great.

Wow...Pittsburgh really does have some solid bones to become a great city. Love all the old architecture.

How tall are those hills? Some of them remind me of Hamilton or Quebec City.

Thank you everybody.

PA Pride, the locks are on Schenley Bridge in the park connecting Phipps to the Library/Museums.

Andy Warhol's grave is in Bethel Park located south of Pittsburgh. Not much of a Pop Art fan, but was riding the south hills one day with my camera so stopped here.

flint, yes I do like to cycle hills a lot. After living in Pittsburgh it becomes second nature. I mostly enjoy urban/traffic riding or taking the lane in the most heavy congested streets through town. I find it most exciting, but hill climbing is the second.

Nice pics! The new PNC building is turning out to be quite a handsome tower but I think ten more stories would really make it 'pop' in the skyline.

The majority of them fall in the range of 200-650 feet (50-200 meters) above river level.
