OK, so
this thread got me thinking: we're now half way through the decade, and there have been some really great projects done in Portland in that time... and some really bad ones. Here are few of my least favorite projects.
MW8 Apartments
Architect: Barry Smith
This project is located on a site with a Design overlay, only a block away from the Bureau of Development Services.
700 SE Cesar Chavez
Architect: Myhre Group
Beige Hardie Panel was on sale.
Waterline Apartments
Architect: Leeb
What's worse than two bad buildings? Those two buildings repeated twice.
Hawthorne 26
Architect: Myhre
As Places over Time noted, this building has ground floor retail, something you'd have a hard time noticing from the facade.
Overton Office Building
Architect: Fosler Portland Architect
Nothing says "Welcome to America" like an immigration office that looks like this.
