That was my first impression as well. The buildings are much more defined. Also, I like the look of the clouds.

That's the West End: the non-glass side of the downtown peninsula, which was redeveloped during the 60s and early 70s, when concrete (sometimes "brutalist") towers were the fashion:

You have never heard Toronto referred to as the Tdot?


Winnipeg is looking good in those shots. Is all that lighting on the buildings new? can't recall seeing it before the last few months...
