It's probably a parking ramp.

That is the formwork for the helix ramp on the p1 deck. I believe it is an entrance ramp. There is another one that will be constructed to the south. An exit.

That's weird that the core of the building starts first before the floors. Why is that? Is it because of sturdiness is needed against earthquakes?

A lot of buildings do that. The main reason is it's made of concrete so it needs to use formwork and a few levels worth of worker platforms. The steel can't be installed until the core is a few floors up otherwise the platforms would be in the way. It is rather strange, however that the core on this is so much higher than usual.

As you can see in the last picture taken at night. The 1st floors forms are being installed. This is near the top of the perimeter columns and they will need to place the next columns to continue to the next floors. I was told that steel placement will begin on Monday December the 8th.

That core is pretty high. I'm ready to see the tower itself begin to take shape.

Ha, appreciate the response. To be honest they didn't work from Thursday to Sun. night. Monday was mostly pouring I think and then the weather was terrible yesterday. I didn't even look in that direction until night time when I saw the jump

It's interesting, from my 3rd pic above it appears that tower has jumped from ground level slightly (pic is blurry and hard to read). However I went and walked by in person and it seems like the fencing is still higher than the tower. I don't know if that's the angle (I was on the downward slope of the hill- 7th and Figueroa) or if its an illusion or what.
