Good thing I took those photos. All parking lots are now fenced off. Something perhaps starting soon? One can hope.

As promised earlier, got this fantastic shot whereby you can clearly see the beginning of what looks like the foundation? just behind the development sign.
Oh boy, won't be long now

I wonder if they'll leave those old houses there? Might look odd though, with a 550 ft tower right beside them.

Those houses are the 2 best examples of architecture on that block. Plus they serve as a historical reminder of the residential nature of the neighbourhood 100 years ago. Maybe they can be moved as was (I think) done for some old houses on Richards street. Move thewm closer to the sidewalk and turn them into retail space of some kind.

I agree with you. I think these old homes should be preserved. I would like them to stay but this project is too cool.

New west moved a bunch of huge heritage homes along 12 street some 25 years ago. It was cool to watch. Basically sawed the house in half.

Well obviously they are the best things on that block there's basically nothing there lol. There's a bunch of houses scattered about that already remind us of what was here in the past

They look in pretty rough condition

They are still at least a couple months away from starting anything as there are still a couple leases in place until February/March I believe.
