Contemporary Niagara Falls is a lot of things. Classy isn't one of them.

^ From 1954 - N-Falls could have totally been a North American mini-Geneva or something, but no. They hired really really bad designers.

That's what I love about it. Every now and then it's nice to drive down the QEW and get a healthy dose of tacky. Luckily a 2 min drive to the east takes you along the escapement and to one of the classiest villages in the Country.

Yes, the tackiness is surprisingly well controlled. But don't just stop at Clifton Hill...

If you're really feeling self-indulgent, the drive up Lundy's Lane is a throwaway landscape of 60s motels and nail salons that has the most John Waters vibe of just about any place in Canada.

NF is, by far, the greatest collection of tackiness in Canada. However, the single best example of tackiness goes to the famous Laval clocktower.

^ Great photo - Almost everything has changed except the few landmark towers; there are few lowrises, parking lots, or empty lots anymore, but the amount of traffic on Georgia is probably even worse.

Since this is a thread about Skylines I'm assuming she's a giant. Was Attack of the 50ft Woman a documentary about Hamilton?

The same can be said for Toronto and many Canadian cities.
