Henbo if the LRT and RRT options were virtually the same in cost then why choose an option that is potentially slower and more dangerous at grade (re: LRT)? As per the notion of lower taxes (given lower public mass transit spending) leading to greater propensities for consumer spending, such private expenditure girded economic growth (if it really does occur given the ongoing twin conundrum of growing income inequality/debt) will only serve to fuel greater/costly transportation congestion (in the absence of effective mass transit); a reality that then kills the said golden goose of desired prosperity (that results from given economic expansion)!
