Rincon Hill Rising. And there are still several more to come.

From the green tint and angle, I'm thinking that was taken from 555 Mission.

Is anyone else disappointed with the giant white vertical stripes on the west side of 45 Lansing? It looks cheap, and stands out a lot on the skyline.

I think they look good in context. They bridge the gap between the too-glassy Inifinity/Lumina and the Rincon Hill towers, imo.

This thread has been really slow considering all the projects in SF.

^^^That's sort of true, but just as a reminder, there is a separate thread for TB Block 5 and most other projects. Visit:

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/tags.php?tag=san+francisco

for all the individual SF related threads (less the separate SF Transit thread in the Transportation sub forum).

Visit

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=210603

For the TB Block 5 specific thread.

Also, I've noticed there are a tier of cities with A LOT going on without many updates, almost as if it's understood. Then there are a few cities that *now* have A LOT going on who's posters are going crazy with understood excitement and posting a lot. If you are from SF and feel there are not enough updates/pics (I feel that for pics SF posters provide more than most other cities' posters), then please by all means contribute

Current legitimate short term proposals (e.g. in some sort of relatively advanced stage of SF planning/design/proforma/investment in land made)/UC gets us to 62 high rises over 400 ft, nearly all of which are represented in that rendering (a few, including 2 existing, are Union Square/Mid-Market).

There are definitely still proposals missing from that.

62 high-rises over 400 ft is definitely top 5 skyline in the country territory (in terms of size).

man, SF's urbanism is an LA wet dream. it's so hard to get excited about LA's gentrification "boom" when I put into perspective how far behind it is relative to so many cities much smaller than LA. not to mention the quality of LA's gentrification falls way short. we're easily several decades behind in urbanism. it's mind boggling how many quality projects going up in SF.

It is from something posted on Transbay Block 6. A PDF, I think I posted the link on this site or on skyscrapercity on the Transbay Block 6 page.

EDIT: Block 5, sorry, got them mixed up.

I don't remember hearing anything about this project:

510 Townsend

The video is pretty annoying, but it looks like a solid project.

181 Fremont looks underrepresented in that render. It's going to be the second tallest in the city for a few years until 50 First is built.

Wow such a futuristic-looking city. Way less brick and mortar than any east coast city but still got quite a lot of density. I sure hope all that glass is shatter safe for earthquakes...

The heights are a little awkward. The two supertalls make the others look small in comparison. Is that the final skyline or is there still space for more?

kdeff - I don't think there is any need to worry about the glass. The day after the 1989 earthquake I walked downtown and did not see a single highrise window broken, but I did see hundreds of windows out in old buildings. Market Square alone (commonly referred to as the Twitter building) had at least 100 windows out. All of the windows in the Twitter building were recently replaced so it should be safe from falling glass in the 1300 block of Market.

Several years ago a window fell out in one piece from the office portion of the Fox Plaza onto the Polk Street sidewalk. It must have just happened as the manager was not aware of it till I notified him.

This is a good project for that stretch of Townsend.

you're 100 percent correct about the glass in 89.
