Sorry, just noticed your comment.

I wonder if this has something to do with the proposed $20M expansion to the Majesta/Royale (Irving Tissue) plant, it's right next door too.

The Ramada Crystal Palace Hotel closes tomorrow.

I think we will really start to see renovations kicking into high gear starting next month.

Bass Pro Shops opens in 10 months and there's a lot of work to do in the meantime.......

I see there is now one of those mini tower cranes on site for this building at the corner of Acadie & Olivier.

The apartment building gutted by fire this summer on Champlain street has been torn.

Also, surprisingly, the car-wash at the corner of Champlain and College has also been torn down today. Is anyone aware of any plans for this corner?

Easy Financial has now decided that the retail spaces that the developer has built in the second phase of Champlain Plaza are too large for them and now looking at other locations in Dieppe.

According to Kichi Sushi's Facebook page, it's a Starbucks that's going there.

Wow, I thought for sure Starbucks would have chosen a location in uptown for their next Dieppe location.

Regardless, this will be Starbucks #7 in greater Moncton. I wonder if they are aiming for double digits?

There's a construction fence and a hole started around the vacant lot between College St and Kichi Sushi along Champlain. With the car wash and little house demolished, it actually makes for a pretty big piece of land. Anyone know what's being built there?

Also, they've finished the first floor of the dental clinic on Olivier. It's a bit further set back from the road than I was hoping, but It's a nice bit of in-fill in the area.

The signage for Mary Brown's has been installed at Champlain Plaza (phase 2).

The other confirmed (and/or open) tenants in phase 2 of this development are Pita Pit and Mai Asian Restaurant. As such, so far, this new plaza seems to be becoming a clone of Plaza 1909 on Mountain Road.

So exciting, more stuff that we don't need and already have!
LOL

The Pita Zone is not as bad as I thought it would be with the signage and other stuff up, but it's still awful. I have no idea why the rear end or ''butt'' of a building would be located facing the frontage of a street, on Champlain Street; one of our regional ''Main'' streets. This location is not in the middle of an industrial park...

The commercial building between the NBLC and Second Cup on Dieppe blvd is well under construction. I heard St-Louis wings may be opening another location there.

Also, the foundation is in for the Starbucks on Champlain street. Looks to be a stand-alone location like on Elmwood and Mountain rd.

That's interesting. I've noticed that the Saint Louis Wings on Mountain Road has suddenly become crazy busy in the last few months. Perhaps they need a second location.......

So I see the Tim Horton's on Champlain Street is undergoing a refit to their new format type store.

I think we're beginning to see a pattern here:

- New Starbuck's at the Lounsbury Centre = refurbished Timmie's at Mountain & Lonsdale
- New Starbuck's on Elmwood = refurbished Timmie's at Elmwood & Mill Road
- New Starbuck's on Champlain = refurbished Timmie's just up the street.

What do you think??
