I'm somewhat surprised at how popular Webers is. I mean, it's pretty good, but it's not THAT good. And its not like there is any shortage of places to get a hamburger in the area.

There is a place on Hwy 11 near 10th Line between Orillia and Barrie that has much better hamburgers. Burger Pit or something. They're probably some of the best hamburgers I've ever had in fact.

Anyway, has anybody driven Quebec A85 recently? I'm wondering what kind of work is going on. Hopefully they can get it fully twinned by 2017 as planned.

The 401 is cut down to 1 lane this weekend at Montreal St in Kingston for bridge work. And this weekend is Queen's University Homecoming when thousands of Queen's alumni descend on Kingston.

^just take the helpful EDR. I HATE the EDR. Worst waste of 4 hours in my entire life when they shut the 401 at Woodstock (to Guelph) on Christmas eve. The traffic was completely jammed. I sat for 2 fucking hours waiting for traffic to budge (it did not move one inch in that time period), in some shithole called Drumbo (or was it Innerkip)? Two screaming babies in the back seat.

Here's a quick mention of the recently opened stretch of autoroute 35.

I think completing this highway is going to do wonders for US tourism to Montreal. Shaving 45 minutes off an already short Montreal-Boston route is also really nice. Should be doable in under 4 hours once it's all said and done.

I took the A30 between the A-20E and A-20W in Montreal about a week ago and it was a very nice improvement over having to drive through Montreal. The interchange with the A-20E could definitely use some improvement as it currently seems to be a cloverleaf interchange and the traffic going through it was a nightmare. There was also construction at the interchange which didn't help, though I wasn't entirely clear what improvements they were making.

I would also be happy if they did away with the loop ramp from A-10 West to A-30 west as well.

Last time I was through that area earlier in October, A-30 was pretty jammed during the evening rush eastbound between A-10 and A-20. Fortunately, I was heading west when I got on to the highway from A-10, and enjoyed smooth sailing even during rush hour on drive back into Ontario.

The only only thing that I'd say about A-30, is it would be nice if there was a gas station or two at one of the rural exits between Vaudreuil and Saint-Constant. I couldn't quite make it back to the land of less-expensive gas, and had to get off at the awkward Route 138 exit to put $20 in the tank.

They reconstruct the whole thing. A-20 should be 3 lanes between Mtl and Drummondville. Maybe in the future.




With the completion of A-35, Montreal-Boston in less than 5 hours will be possible.

Pont Jeanne-Mance would have been more accurate.

Why not simply name an arena after Maurice Richard ? It's in direct relation with that sport, when a bridge doesn't have at all.
