I was going to post this in the BC section thread, but no one ever has a conversation there sadly.
Well it did not take long.
All of my environmentalist friends on my facebook are sharing this article and are now stating their firm opposition to LNG projects in BC, ughhhhh.
Seriously, this is why I can not take the Northern Gateway opposition seriously anymore, because these people are not against any specific project, they are against every fucking thing industrial!

And for fun, here is one of the comments posted on the article:
Quote:
Its building momentum, its growing stronger every day, by way of informing people about what the price of LNG will be to the citizens of the Skeena River and tributaries. There is no way on Gods green earth that the citizens after defeating the Northern Gateway Pipeline would allow yet another threat to our river.
If we were going to approve of its destruction we would not have stood in the way of the Northern Gateway Pipeline, but I can tell you this, people are not getting more receptive, they are getting more and more angry. We want these jackasses to get the hell away from our rivers. This includes fish farms, bitumen and that fracking gas!
We have had enough, beware to those who want to push us to far.

If the researchers proposed at least somewhat specific alternative sites for constructing such plants, then the article would have a lot more credit IMO, instead it just feels like yet another BC NO TO ANY INDUSTRY style piece.
