There are plenty of fantastic natural settings across Canada, but everyone has to remember that we're talking about skylines here (made of buildings constructed by humans), and on that topic, Toronto reigns supreme...

Yeah, I was not including Sikome Beach, although it is a good song!

That's one up-side of the less exciting glass condo towers that have been going up in TO.

Now even the old, "VAN is still my style..." can't be used to claim preferring that one more.

Probably the Bow, can't see the Calgary tower from too many angles now.

Pretty much unanimous on that one. The discussion of who comes second basically a 3 way tie, but lets not get into that, arguing about setting is tiring enough!

Very cool and scary renders of what a "post-apocalyptic Toronto" might look like from over at BlogTO...

I thought that the natural settings chatter was a good break away from the usual "who's skyline is bigger, and our population this week is.." Banter.

Natural settings on this

Too bad this shot wasn't taken more to the east. How many cities in the world have a swath of islands on a giant lake at their doorstep?

Wow, love the first and last one in that post.

It's amazing how TO straddles this line between awesome and digestible. It's never overwhelming, but it's always... "Hey... nice!".

Where Toronto wins is with the carolinian forest (what's left of it).

The banter is getting old, but I'm loving the awesome pictures that everyone is showing to back up their claims.

These aren't nature photos. They're urban photos with some nature.

These are nature photos:

Sometimes I really wonder about us. I mean, who decided it was best to slam those hydro pylons down on one of the few beaches in the Golden Horseshoe? Brutal...
