A better version of the future skyline. Still not great, but it serves its purpose.

From left to right: Eau Claire One, City Centre, Telus Sky, Brookfield Place, Oxford Tower, Manulife Tower.

They are just out of view of this image. A sliver of the easternmost one may be visible, but not worth including.

I think Oxford will look really good from most angles, but might appear pretty thick from the east or west. Fortunately, that orientation works best for masking its girth with other buildings and minimizing shadow.

Wasn't complaining. Was just pointing out that the thickness wasn't represented for those who were overly excited by that view.

All said, however, I think this tower will look reasonable given it is quite far from the cluster of the tallest towers in the city well to its East.

Would still like to see 275m / 900' though.

Its girth is nothing compared to the widest angle of the Bow.

Just to put The Bow's wide-a$$ in perspective, this new building we're talking about is 1.2msf and possibly 262m. The Bow, with the same sf to height ratio would have been 371m IE over 1,200 feet.

The more I think about The Bow, the more I'm disappointed with that building. If it were built now, we'd be all quite upset that a 1.7M sf building was only the height it is. Between the Bow, Telus Sky, BP and Oxford, I'd put Telus Sky, and maybe even BP, over the Bow.

From the North or South at least, it'll have a more interesting profile than the flat roofs of the east side (Bow, TS, BP). That's a good thing.

Suburbia: That's always been my problem with the Bow.... Just too damn Massive! All that Shadowing BS... and the funny thing is the Bow is more overpowering with it's massiveness than a building 100' taller and much narrower!! But I think a lot of folks feel the same way. Anyway, I'll move off of this.

I said it then and I say it now... the Bow's girth is regoddamndiculous!

Of course it's a terrific building, but the "what coulda been" is so frustrating even to this day! Shadow my fist hitting your face... city of Calgary shadow fucks!

That Eau Claire Market Redevelopment simply looks awesome from that vantage point - I really hope they built it out as they've proposed
