I love everything about this expansion. The building looks perfect for the location -- I wish I had a home like that.

intown, we have a lot of funny streets that wind and turn this way and that, but for the most part, they connect places rather than divide them, and that is the most important part to me.

The beauty of grids is in the ease of understanding and the redundancy. Multiple route options reduces traffic and allows for more direct travel for pedestrians.

I'd like a nouveau-post-modernism in architecture. The 191 building is really great. Glass curtain walls don't need to becoems ubiquitous.

There was incredible density of heavy duty earth movers on the State Farm site and the adjacent apartment corridor is nearing completion. Hopefully some of the picture takers can get some of the deep foundation work they are doing this weekend.

Also, if money is going to be the main thing forever, everything is going to be covered in advertising until the end of time. The College Football Hall of Fame, now with Prominent Chik-fil-A Signage comes to mind.

It's like they say... those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. In a more modern context, those who know history are doomed to watch others repeat it. However, in the most modern context the internet makes it sufficiently easy to inflate the knowledge bubble until it washes everything else away.

Hey thanks for noticing, I am actually one of the owners of Condesa (and I occasionally post on this forum).
The new shop is going to be really cool, on the streetcar line, in a fabulous building with long history and character, we are very excited!
As a side note, I remember from when we remodeled the current location, that it was a nightmare to get permits/inspections, those guys at the city are really not helpful. If anybody has tips on how to facilitate permits let me know

Some investors have bought up a number of the homes near the cul-de-sac at the southern end of North Stratford Road south of Old Ivy Road. The specifics of what might happen with the land near the cul-de-sac seem to vary from time to time. One version is two 40-story office towers and a residential tower, maybe with a nice restaurant. Sometimes a Whole Foods store is mentioned. A roadway tunnel under Lenox Road, reconnecting Stratford Road (now accessible only from Peachtree Road) to the cul- de-sac at the southern end of North Stratford Road is planned to make the project feasible.

that actually sounds like a cool idea. i've been concerned about the long-term viability of the huge lenox road connector barrelling through that neighbourhood; it is not even possible to cross the road at several points, and really divides the neighbourhood in half. i think a series of tunnels like this might go a long way towards connecting the neighbourhood up, and breaking up that superblock.

Wow, if 90 Peachtree Place NW gets off the ground fairly soon, that whole area will have just exploded in density. I mean, both student housing towers, Modera, 75 Peachtree Place... and so much more waiting to start a few more blocks away.

If its on the corner of 8th & Williams, why is its address on Peachtree Pl?

Also why is Peachtree Pl named Peachtree Pl. On the other side of the interstate, the same road is 9th st. On the other side of piedmont, its named 9th street. It is in between 10th st and 8th st. Where I come from that makes it 9th st. Where the F did "Peachtree Place" come from?

The site is bounded by 8th, Williams, and Peachtree Place. It fronts all 3.
