well I think they believe once they are mobilized and excavating they are under construction. Since the general contractor/construction manager is responsible for the entire project they see the entire process as "construction" regardless of the work or trades involved.

Wow, I put the request in earlier this morning, glad to see it got moved quickly. Exciting that its officially under construction, but drilling is a very boring process.

they are definitely coring for a caisson now and it was going slowly from what i could observe. There are hoses and pumps all over the place. Is that to remove groundwater from the site? Another piece of equipment was creating a trench along the western wall. Not sure what was going on there but it could be to catch all the escaping water.

What?! This feels foreign looking in the SUPERTALL CONSTRUCTION! YEAHH!!!

Oh yeah so I was trying to figure out how many cassions they would need to drill. By looking at how may columns are seen on the renderings. I think there will be probably 30-36 cassions to drill, and possibly a cement pad for the core.
