Awesome vid - would like to see another one when the arena is finished.

As for today's activities - the steel structure is starting to take on a stadium seating shape.

Yes, that's the new Stantec tower, underground parkade and plaza for the AED.

BTW I facepalmed while watching the presser with Bob Black on the Rogers Place website -these media hacks spent half the time grilling him on parking and transit access. Do these people not review these plans on the website???

^They might, but they also know that their viewership only cares about parking.

^^

don't forget those "media types" are also looking for something quotable/attributable if it's print, something audible if it's radio and something visual if it's television.

it's not about "the parking" per se being the "only thing of interest". and even in regard to "the parking" there are short term impacts that are different than the long-term issues addressed "on the website".

and i'm pretty sure that most of those reporters - and their editors - are quite familiar with the website. but this was a news event and those reporters were looking for current coverage of the event and the event topic. and attending and reporting on/from the event means more than providing web site information reviews and summaries. which is presumably part of the rationale for your attending/watching these events and their coverage as well.

Site prep underway - fencing being torn out, parking blocks removed, etc. I hated that parking lot so bad, I am elated that its finally being put to rest.
