That phase 3 building at Industry is on the alleyway basically, it probably won't matter much on what it looks like as it will always be hidden. Plus, I think office/retail on the ground floor looks a whole lot better than a parking garage on the ground floor, and activates the street level for pedestrians a lot better.

Umm, I just asked this same exact question up above in post #1403....weird

The address comes up as 2920 Arkins Ct Denver, CO 80216 on google maps.

I've heard and seen numerous plans but nothing within the last few months. They were testing the soils, as of this morning, and might be pulling the trigger on this lot next so i thought i would ask all of ya'll?

I think The Confluence could easily set new PP SQ Ft records if they build for sale condos.

What building did you wind up in? (if you don't mind)
I'm in Confluence Heights on 29th/Vallejo. I guess I am judging the kitchens/baths/appliance packages, but then again, that may have been more in vogue when the building was built. I would expect more contemporary finish in a building like that. Also am surprised most of the listings I see nobody has done any renovation.

I am much more a fan of Park Place and Promenade from an interior design point of view.

Fun fact: Our lord Darth Vader will actually not be dethroned from 'tallest tower outside Downtown Denver' by the Country Club Towers.

Plaza One Greenwood Village (Tallest DTC building) - 268 ft

Country Club Towers - 300 ft

Our lord, Rocky Mountain Tower, Vader - 325 ft

BAM!

First..... I thought that the CC Towers were going to be reaching 315 feet in height?

And then second, RMT is in Glendale.... so if you want to count just the City and County of Denver, then CC Towers would be the tallest, yes?

I read 300 from DBJ but they very well could be 315! I was thinking more Denver metro. But yes, in the City and County of Denver, Country Club Towers will be the tallest outside of Downtown.

Actually, from this thread.....

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=212759

it's going to be 322 feet..... yet, now that I'm thinking back about all of this...... I do believe that I've seen 300 somewhere, as well as 315...... and now 322.......

Well...... maybe another 4 feet will somehow will get added onto these..... and maybe they could become the tallest in the Metro area..... although IIRC there's already an agreement in place for it from years back (and with NIMBYs now already out against this in full force)... and I think (dare I say) that it will only be 300......

Congratulations.......

So now when are you going to announce the scoop that Hines has a major tenant and 1144 is going to be breaking ground in two weeks?

edit added: is this now going to be the Polsinelli Building?

Some news out of Golden:

Quote:
Golden-based CoorsTek and crosstown partner Colorado School of Mines announced Thursday that CoorsTek and its Coors family owners are giving the largest gift in the university's 140-year history. [$26.9MM]
...
About $20 million of the donation will cover most of the $45 million construction budget for the center's new 95,000-square-foot building. An additional $14.6 million comes from a state appropriation that was part of the legislature's 2014-15 budget bill.
source

The news comes while Mines has three major projects (new dorm/dining hall building, new welcome center, and new football stadium) currently underway.

I was just up at Mines earlier this week for a professional course and was amazed at how that campus has changed, for the better, in the last decade. The amount of money that school can raise for it's size is staggering. The way the campus is laid out and the size of it makes for a very intimate feel and it might be the most walkable campus in the state.

But the parking situation there is terrible, they need to consider replacing some of the lots with parking structures.

True that. I really dig it.

This is also true. If you're willing to walk, and know where the far-flung lots are, it's not that bad. In my opinion, they've spearheaded a movement toward walk/bike-ability in Golden and by building more living options on campus, reduced the need for students to drive by a ton. Now, to sit back and wait as RTD provides usable connectivity within Golden...

Judging by the decisions made at the terminus of the W line, this may never happen.

I would see it as more likely they eventually extend the gold line into Golden, than the W

Can we talk about how well this building has turned out?

Also saw this guy flying around outside my window yesterday... is there another drone pilot running around Denver?

hey Enjo13: I think if you look a little closer, you'll see that drone is pulling a banner of some kind.

That's Looks like a hex copter. If it is, that's about 3 times bigger than Ryan's Phantom.

It was pretty massive and quite loud.
