As far as local developers go, I would love to see Battistella do a major (150+ meters) residential tower. I'm not huge on Colours (the tower) but it isn't bad. If they could go the Lido/Pixel way with quality/design and do a high quality landmark type skyscraper, I think it could look amazing.

LEDs just like on Hong Kong's buildings? awesome. Wish they had LEDs like BOCHK tower on The Bow though.

This is going to be one of the most beautiful office towers in the country when its done, during the day and at night.

Agreed. Some...like myself might even say the nicest, but at that point it's mostly personal preference.

They've had the west half of Centre closed for the last week or so, so I would have thought they would be moving on it now.

This will have underground parking, no? Considering Art Central already has a basement, I imagine this shouldn't be too far behind Brookfield rising.

The digging part usually don't take long at all. Shoring is definitely needed to withstand a structure more than 20 times the previous size. The only advantage over Brookfield will be the footprint. I am guessing Telus Sky will rise more than double the rate of Brookfield. It may be an interesting race to topping out.

Having this, The Bow, and Brookfield Place almost side by side is going to be quite the site.

Was looking through Westbank's portfolio, definitely the best developer in Canada. Would love for them to build some towers in East Village and Eau-Claire.
